Engine on a schedule…plus Booger Updates

TLR is pleased to support our fellow Class 11 friends, and in this case Meek Racing, #1142 (the silver car!). After the VORRA April short course races, it’s always a race in itself to have the car desert ready (the Yerington 300 at the end of May). With plenty of other things on their checklist, #1142 had its engine sent to TLR for some love and care. She should be headed back to #1142 tomorrow. So far, there should be five Class 11’s entered in this year’s VORRA Yerington race! Check out the current entry list here for the VORRA Yerington 300, there are a good amount of entries a lot of notable names already. Additionally, Trick and Sunoco have donated about over $15,000 in contingency between the Yerington 300 in May and Fallon 250 in July.

Larry G also made more headway on the Turbotastic Oval Rag engine, as well as Sleepy 64 (will introduce that car in a later post), and fixed the golf cart who decided to quit on us in the middle of the driveway. It was a busy day.

We are still on track for the Booger. Larry M’s job is generally the tear down and prep for Larry G’s expertise, since teardowns are the easy part. 😉 It was another bittersweet moment when today brought us the last time the Booger, as it has been for the last four years, was intact. Of course, the front clip was not the original either, but few people knew that until recently with our updates. 😉 We are pleased that our Ataboy donor car is not cancered like the last two clips.
