Long course desert race, 300 miles. Woke up to a blanket of snow, race start delayed by a half an hour. Blew a shock in lap three, repaired in pit. Time recorder blew over in fourth lap.

July 15-17, 2011 – USA 500 @ Reno, NV
Long course desert race, 500 miles. Longest off-road circular desert race in the USA. #1112 broke the roll cage at the rear shock at mile 113 during the second lap and the cage was fatigued enough by the time it limped to the pits that repair was not possible. At that time, #1112 was ahead of competition by over a half an hour, and mathmatically if it remained consistent it would have made top ten finishers.
