Never a dull day…

Desert Dingo Racing has released their race recap for the VORRA April short course races last weekend. You can read that on their website HERE. VORRA racers are getting revved up in their race reviews on the VORRA website forum as well, and you can read that HERE. I’d imagine more reviews will start trickling in throughout the work week.

Here is a video stolen from Desert Dingo Racing. I do believe they earned the Epic Image for 2013 in Class 11. This was their encounter with a turkey while on the track. We are still debating whether or not it was a tom or hen. Reports circulated after the race that the daredevil turkey was seen flying away afterwards unharmed.

We had a great time viewing the VORRA live tracking for the races. It wasn’t as good as being there, but it did feed the race addiction a bit. It was close racing for the 11’s, with Meek Racing #1142 coming out on top the first two motos, Desert Dawgs with Petfinder #1106 in second, and Desert Dingo Racing #1107 in third. Disaster struck in the third moto for Meek Racing however, and he had an unfortunate roll that resulted in more work to be perform on the car before the May VORRA Yerington desert race. Luckily no one was hurt. With Meek’s DNF for the third moto, this placed the Desert Dawgs in first for the weekend and the Desert Dingos in second. Congratulations to everyone!

As a sidenote – plan for blankets, car covers, tents, and coffee for the Yerington 300. It has snowed the last two years on us!

Here’s another good video. This was posted on Facebook by Jason Arnold to the VORRA page. It shows #769 going over after bumping Hoon Racing. This is a Facebook embed, so I’m not sure if it will show up if you are not signed in.
