The Green Booger is very nearly ready to be loaded and on its way to the Master Pull USA 500. Important things, such as a bath and the customary coat of wax are crucial today though, even if we woke to it being fifty-one degrees and our house surrounded by low lying clouds. But seriously, we did spend a couple hours yesterday viewing the course VIA GoogleEarth (thank you Jim of theĀ Desert Dingos), cross-referencing and making notes on our course map, as well all this week as figuring the jetting ratio for the elevation changes and the gas mileage/where we need extra hands on the course. It’s amazing how much planning is necessary for racing months/weeks in advance, and it’s not just a jump-in-the-car-let’s-go experience. Technology has definitely made it easier than what the guys in the 1970’s had. And we’re just a Class 11!
Two Larrys Racing and the Green Booger will depart tomorrow morning and arrive in Reno early afternoon. Be sure to stop by and say hi if you are in the area!
