The 2010 VORRA Awards Banquet was beautifully executed and complete with delicious food, a no-host bar, sparkling awards, and the fun atmosphere typically found at a VORRA event. The only difference was that the teams had ditched their race suits and donned semi-formal attire, resulting in many of us not reconizing one another. Well, and we actually ate food instead of dust and lacked the pungent smell of 110 octane in the morning. Gary Herrod of Two Larrys Racing and #1112, the Green Booger, accepted the Class 11 Championship with Richard Palasik representing the Desert Dingos and #1107 taking home second place. In addition, both Two Larrys and the Desert Dingos were awarded the “Dirty Dozen” award, one that was honoring the racing the teams that made it to all of the 2010 VORRA races; there were twelve teams total, hence “The Dirty Dozen.” Thank you for following the Green Booger this year in its escapades, and we hope you will continue to read our updates as we head towards our first race of the year, the 2011 Battle At Primm in February.
