Back for more…

CBCFS Racing (Paul and Ryan) made the trek to TLR once again with their gigantic beast of a camper van to work on The Ghost #1116. They have made quite a bit of headway thus far, with work continuing into the week to have it ready for the Baja 1000. These guys are so thoughtful, Paul even brought his amazingly delicious birthday cake to share with us, and on their way here purchased a cute guppy and bright red castle-guarding dragon for our reptile and aquarium-crazy kids.

Paul and Ryan said we needed a dragon to guard the castle. Who doesn't?!

Photos from Saturday and Sunday. More to come! Some of these are out of order due to my connectivity issues while loading the photos, so apologize for that. We’ve had a great time with these fantastic kids. They can’t be accused of not working hard!

In TLR news, we are pleased that the Jetta has new rear struts. It had been getting worse, and one shock actually blew the oil out finally. The kids were getting sea sick on the way to school. So, new Bilsteins were ordered and the Jetta no longer drives like Uncle Buck’s car.

Jetta strut. Pretty sure it's not supposed to look like that or compress with use of only one hand.

I hope you understand the reference to a very classic movie. If not, here is Uncle Buck’s car. Now picture a white MK3 Jetta instead (but without the smoke).

And of course we need to have our token Booger photo:

The Booger has three wheel motion even while standing still.

And the Booger is happy to have its trailing arm welded back up and shock remounted after it ripping off at the USA 500 in September. You can read about that in our race recap.
