2012 VORRA Class 11 Overall Third Place

April 13-15, 2012 – Short Course Double Header, Bug Invasion – Prairie City, CA

Short course, three motos a day with twelve laps each, two days of racing. Laps were roughly a mile each. Day one cancelled due to inclement weather and combined with day two, so six motos were raced on Sunday. The Green Booger ran only “Sunday’s” races, which were the last three motos of the day.

July 13-15, 2012 – USA 500 – Reno-Sparks, NV

Long course desert race, 535 miles. Longest lap race in the USA. Three Class 11’s were present, one finished before cut-off. Two Larrys Racing and #1112 experience fuel delivery issues at three pits and it was necessary to be towed up a specific hill each lap. We experienced alternator failure 90 miles before the finish. We were the last car off the track before the cut-off time, at 3am Sunday morning, and earned first place for Class 11. Gary Herrod iron-manned the full 20 hours. Additionally, Two Larrys had the most improved average miles per hour time, and was awarded the Rabbit Road to Glory Award and $1,000. We also tied fourth with Red Team Racing for top points earned in this race, at a total of 76.

October 26-28, 2012 – Short Course Double Header, Halloween BBQ – Prairie City, CA

Short course, three motos a day, two days. Booger took first all three motos on Saturday, winning first for the day. On Sunday, the tie rod broke during the first lap, resulting in third place out of four. The throttle pedal broke during the second moto resulting in only about 60-70% of throttle usage and first place out of four. The replaced tie rod broke during the third moto resulting in third place out of four. Final Sunday result was second place overall.
