Skid Pan Attachment (Class 11)

All too often we have been questioned on exactly HOW do we attach our behemoth skid pans to the Green Booger, our Class 11 Stockbug. We use 1/4″ aluminum, in the front it is 2’x4′ and in the rear it is 2’x3′ with the extra piece turned sideways for underneath the transmission.

I suppose it will make it easier for everyone if we post a page showing it. Pictures are worth 1,000 words, after all. So I guess this photo album has 18,000 words. 😉 Obviously each car is different, and I hope this provides assistance to those who have asked. Hopefully it will help others who are trying to gain ideas on how to race prep or build their Class 11’s skid pans (a very important part of the race car!).

In the words of CBCFS Racing’s Ryan Crook, who has installed matching skid pans on their 2013 Baja 1000 Second Place Class 11 #1116 (read more about that in our blog): “Baja 1000 proven too! Barely even bent ours, even after driving like hoonigans.”
