TLR Goes to VORRA March Meeting

But didn’t make the ACTUAL meeting. What we did get to see were several cars still practicing and tuning for the season. We did talk to Jim Carius, who is now at the head of VORRA and attempting to get it back on its feet. The schedule we previously posted is now set in stone. The next VORRA meet will be a Prairie City in May. If VORRA is going to continue, it needs racers and volunteers alike to commit and be there. If you cannot bring your own car at the moment, for whatever reason, then volunteer and still be a part of the activities. Who knows, maybe you’ll even get seat time with someone you pit for!

Just remember, being a volunteer and still out there at the race track is a heck of a lot better than sitting at home reading about the race on the computer. 😀 You can’t exactly smell 110 octane through your keyboard. I guarantee you’ll have a great time.

While there, we shot some video of several cars testing on the track. Hope you enjoy!

EDIT:
I just saw the new post at VORRA regarding the meeting. Here is a copy of it:

“Yesterday’s meeting at prarie city went very well! About 50 of vorra’s faithful showed to lend support, make donations, sign up for season memberships and get the skinny on the upcoming year. Lots of info will be coming in the next few weeks. Here’s a cliff notes of the meeting.

Jim Carius is purchasing Vorra from Wes harbor and will promote 5 races this year.( see schedule on here)
Yerington is a no go this year. Things are in the works for next year and beyond.
We need everyone support, as a racer, crew, vorrateers and spectators! $50 get ls you a Vorra membership and entry to all races, including riding and driving.

Pre registration will open ASAP. We need everyone looking to race in May needs to sign up, without enough entry’s the race won’t happen. Keep a eye on here, and Vorra.net for all the details to follow.

Looking forward to a awesome race season!”
